The service

Information you can act on

Our survey and inspection services provide detailed information that is actionable: enough to identify, prevent and remediate the defects that cause building maintenance issues.

The effectiveness of any survey hinges on the knowledge and experience of the inspectors undertaking it. All of our building inspection services are carried out by a specialist team of IRATA trained rope access building surveyors and civil engineers.

We understand the pressure clients face when building defects need solving, which is why our surveying departments operate seven days a week and work around your operations rather than the other way round.

Why on ropes

Why surveys work better on ropes

An exemplary safety record

No RIDDOR reportable occurrences since the company was founded.

Safer than the alternatives

Industrial rope access has the best safety record of any working at height method, including scaffolding and ladder access.

Rapid to set up

Quick deployment and an eminently flexible method of working, with low impact on the fabric of the building.

Significantly lower cost

More cost effective than traditional access, with much less disruption to buildings and operations.

Vertex Air

Drones find it.
Ropes confirm it.

All of our survey and inspection work is supported by our aerial surveying division, Vertex Air.

Drones are used to pinpoint the building defects that need high level inspection, so qualified building surveyors only rope down to what actually matters. For many clients that combination yields substantial savings against surveying an entire elevation on ropes.

Common questions

Before you enquire

Anything else you'd like to know? Our team is happy to talk it through.

Who actually carries out the survey?

A specialist team of IRATA trained rope access building surveyors and civil engineers, not a subcontracted inspector.

Can you work around our operations?

Yes. Our surveying departments operate seven days a week specifically so surveys can be scheduled around how the building is used.

Should we use a drone survey or rope access?

Often both. Drones pinpoint the defects that need a closer look, so surveyors only rope down to the areas that matter. For many clients that combination costs less than surveying every elevation on ropes.

Do you inspect work carried out by other contractors?

Yes. We carry out quality assurance inspections of works undertaken by other rope access contractors.

Can you make something safe straight away?

Yes. We carry out make safe surveys, storm damage assessments and emergency removal of dangerous high level items.
